Embarking on the journey from civilian life to becoming a basic-trained sailor in the U.S. Navy was an experience like no other. Over the course of ten weeks, I transitioned through rigorous training, personal growth, and a newfound sense of camaraderie. Here’s a glimpse into my transformative journey. Week 1: Processing Days The first week was all about processing. Upon arrival at the Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois, I was met with a whirlwind of activity.
